 A Little History...
Joe and Shirley Cook purchased 462 Chapel Street in 1969. The property was in need of major repairs. Therefore, when they visited they slept on their boat, moored down in Old Harbor, and worked on the house with their three children, Steve, Sandy and Jeff. As the years went on, the property transformed from a run down house to a family home. In the years to come, Joe and Shirley would bring their two young grandsons to their home, giving Eric and Mike the unbelievable opportunity to grow up on the island during the summers. In 1993, Joe and Shirley's eldest son, Steve, purchased the property, making him the second generation owner for some 23 years! On July 8, 2016, Eric and Mike closed on the property; making them the 3rd generation to own the home. They are excited to raise their 5 children on the island during the summers, continuing family traditions and memories. |
